I wrote the story, Crafting Through COVID (September 30, 2020), for YWCA Toronto about how creativity became resistance during the pandemic. At a time when productivity felt like pressure, I examined how crafting, sewing masks, painting furniture, and sharing patterns became community care, self-care, and a way to reclaim feminized labour from the margins. The piece highlights how making things brought joy, connection, and quiet rebellion when the world went into lockdown.
