This Magazine

This Magazine

I interned for This Magazine from April to August 2013. I wrote for the blog columns WTF Wednesday and FTW Friday, contributed pieces to the print publication, fact-checked and edited submissions, and participated in meetings around design and marketing. My first feature story for the magazine became the cover story, and is still one of my favourite pieces. After my internship ended, I continued writing for This Magazine in print and online, as well as continued blogging with my column, Gender Block. It was a Gender Block post that got me an invitation to present at the 2016 Northeast Popular/American Culture Association conference.
