I wrote for DC News, Durham College’s online news show and blog. The work allowed me to report on campus and community events while developing skills in digital journalism, writing, and content creation. Stories included: Fighting homophobia in hockey, No stress on the ice, Durham Lords play Seneca Sting, Controversy surrounds Chik-Fil-A sponsored event.

Hillary is a very creative individual and extremely talented writer. As her professor, I always enjoyed marking her assignments because they were not only well done but also original and imaginative. Hillary also showed great commitment to learning and displaying a great attitude whether she was tackling an assignment alone or in a group setting. I have no hesitation in recommending Hillary for any position she may want to apply for. She will definitely be an asset to the company that hires her.
