I have had the pleasure of working with Hillary over the summer to help train over 1200+ orientation leaders at York University. Hillary is a dedicated and passionate leader who is non judgemental and committed to ensuring those she teaches are learning. She is compassionate and has acted as a mentor for so many of her younger peers to help develop them to be better versions of themselves. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to have worked with someone like this.
— Jessica Thyriar, Office of Community Supports & Services, York University
Hillary has been speaking at our volunteer trainings since 2015. She has presented to our peer support and crisis line volunteers educating them on victim blaming, feminism activism, navigating through the justice system and much more. Hillary has a relatable approach that the volunteers always enjoy and feel comfortable asking her questions. Hillary is informed and well educated. Between her life experience and education she always presents valuable and relevant information. I always enjoy when Hillary comes to the center and she always receives positive reviews in our training assessments done by the volunteers. I can't say enough good things and anyone would be lucky to work with Hillary.
— Candice Hodgson, Community Development and Volunteer Coordinator, Durham Rape Crisis Centre
I had an amazing time working with Hillary as an active bystander facilitator at York University. In a short time that I worked with Hillary, I often looked up to her as a mentor and she really played a big part in helping me grow as a human. Hillary’s enthusiasm and passion to end sexual violence helped me stay motivated to memorize our presentation and improve my public speaking skills. Through working with Hillary, she has shared with me a lot of knowledge from her education and I can confidently say she is an expert in her field of work.
